Between the ages of 15 and 20 years old, David travels on the road with his backpack, from British Columbia to Mexico and from New Orleans to Prince Edward Island. As he returns home to Quebec, filled with dreams of nomadism, he decides to do circus.
In 2012, he enters the prestigious Circus School of Quebec, where he specialises in Chinese Pole but also learns Icarian Games, Juggling Passing and Clown. At the end of these three years, it becomes clear to him that dance and theater are inseparable from circus which he believes has the possibility and duty of becoming something more than a mere demonstration of physical skills.
Since his graduation in 2015, he has worked with Cirque du Soleil, Cirque Éloize, Cirque Entre Nous, Circus Monti and Broadway Variété, among others. He has also given Chinese pole workshops in several schools in Europe and Canada and performed more than seven different Chinese pole acts in various variety shows and galas around the world.
In 2024, he participated in the creation of a new prototypical academic training in directing and circus creation called Auteur de Cirque, in partnership with the National Circus School and the National Theatre School of Canada. He is the first and only student. At the same time, he began creating his first solo show À quoi tu penses?
